> Cliff Kelly, host of WVON-1690AM’s hit show The Talk of Chicago,
will moderate a panel discussion among distinguished African-American
activists and analysts with special expertise on the Palestinian
struggle for justice. Kelly has been active in Chicago’s
political arena for more than 30 years, including 16 years in the Chicago City Council. He is a frequent contributor to WTTW’s Chicago Tonightand has traveled extensively in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
> Lynette Jacksonis the associate professor in Gender and Women’s Studies and African American Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is the past chair of the International Studies Program at UIC, and she serves on boards and advisory committees addressing human rights and social justice, including the Chicago Committee of Human Rights Watch and The Public Square, which sponsors the City of Chicago’s Refugee and Immigrant Advisory Committee.
> Prexy Nesbitt is a veteran activist in the struggle for justice. In the late 1970s he helped direct the World Council of Churches Program to Combat Racism. More recently he has been the Southern Africa representative, American Center for International Labor Solidarity/AFL-CIO, Johannesburg, South Africa; Interim Director for American Friends Service Committee Africa Program (Philadelphia); and National Organizer for Africa Action (Washington DC).

Gwendolyn Zoharah Simmons is currently the Assistant Professor in
Islamic Studies, Women and Religion, and African-American Religious
Traditions at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Simmons was on
the national staff of the American Friends Service Committee for 23 years and prior to that, worked with the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) on voter registration and desegregation activities in Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama. ____________________________________________________________

parking, go 2 blocks north to Chicago Ave., turn west, then turn south
(left) at Humphrey or Taylor. Park on either street near Erie, walk east to church.
